Indivisible NWA was founded in December 2024 in response to a call from the national Indivisible movement. We’re building a community to connect Arkansans who care about protecting and strengthening democracy.
We are a dedicated group of volunteers with many contributing ideas, energy, and expertise. As we grow, we’re developing a stronger leadership structure to better serve our community and sustain this important work.
Indivisible NWA meets monthly on the 3rd Saturday. To stay informed about future meetings, sign up for our email list.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower Arkansans to do democracy together.
We do this by:
- Advocating for issue-specific policy decisions through civic action and community conversations.
- Hosting public demonstrations to raise awareness and build solidarity.
- Providing mentorship and small group connections to teach and practice civic action.
- Observing government in action to encourage accountability and transparency.
Our Values & Policies
We are committed to nonviolence in every action we take, online and in person. Respectful dialogues and peaceful demonstrations are at the core of who we are. There is no place in our movement for violence, or even the suggestion of violence.
We also believe in collaboration. We welcome your ideas, suggestions, and creativity. Please be mindful that the term “Indivisible NWA” is legally protected intellectual property, and its use, whether for events or advertising, requires our prior approval. This will avoid confusion and ensure unity of purpose.
Our Goals
- Teach people how to “do democracy” in their everyday lives.
- Foster mentorship and community through small-group connections.
- Organize civic actions that make a real impact.
- Advocate for policies that strengthen democracy and serve the people.
- Provide transparency by observing and reporting on government processes.
